Dear Customer, dear Partner,

We would like to invite you to meet with us during CES 2016 in Las Vegas, from Wednesday, January 6th through to Saturday, January 9th.

At the event we want to emphasize the versatility of our Teatro-3.5 STB software solution for Android TV. The solution is based on our ANDROID4TV framework which extends Android Lollipop / Android TV with broadcast and multicast TV functionalities. The solution is showcased ported on various chipsets and STB, integrated with various security solutions, and connected to various service delivery platforms.

With Teatro-3.5, we provide an animated UI called C-More which can be delivered either as a full portal of services and apps or just as a live TV app (C-More Live). In the first case, C-More coexists with Google home page while in the second case it complements it.

“Teatro-3.5 smoothly complements Android TV with support to legacy pay TV over broadcast and managed IPTV networks,” said Hans-Jürgen Désor, CEO of iWedia. “While preserving the integrity of the framework, we make it relevant for TV service providers who can then leverage Android TV to deliver their pay TV services,” he added.

Teatro-3.0, a STB software solution for IP-connected zappers will also be showcased. Based on Linux, with a UI easily customizable as it is built in HTML/CSS/JavaScript, the solution features advanced connectivity functions including HbbTV, DLNA, and DVB>IP as well as ABR formats like HLS and DASH.

The solution is pre integrated with NAGRA and Conax CAS and is compliant with their software architecture requirements.

It is demonstrated in a UHD HEVC STB from SmarDTV for the German HD+ market (with access to the HD+ RePlay OTT service) and in a TELE System FHD HEVC STB targeting the Italian tivùsat market (with access to the Mediaset Premium Online and Premium Play OTT services). Both STB are secured with NAGRA CAS.

“Teatro-3.0 is an ideal solution for hybrid STB,” said Sunghoon Kim, VP Sales at iWedia. “It allows pay TV broadcast operators to bring their OTT video services on the main screen along with their legacy broadcast services,” he added.

We will also reveal for the first time a brand new product called CELINE which is a WYSIWYG authoring tool (delivered as a plug-in to Eclipse) which allows developing resident and broadcast apps for basic one way STB operated by Teatro-2.0. CELINE makes use of Lua as its scripting language. CELINE allows for an easy development of UI/UX and interactive apps targeted at entry-level STB.

“There is still a huge market for basic one-way zappers especially in markets that are performing their digital switchover,” said Hervé Creff, VP Marketing at iWedia. “With CELINE we allow theses boxes to deliver a convincing UI/UX and to offer access to a bouquet of interactive services,” he added.

Should you want to arrange a meeting, just drop us an e-mail at info@iwedia.com or reach us at +49 172 8054 791 during the show.

We hope to see you there!!!
