What is the future of OTT? People have grown used to the access to multiple platforms, so from that perspective on-demand content is likely to remain strong – though time spent in front of the TV will probably decrease as lockdowns are lifted and people are able to leave their homes again. Operators still have a very solid asset with live content like sporting events; it will be interesting to see the viewing figures for the UEFA European Championships and the Tokyo Olympics, as people remember the joys of sharing a live experience. Above all, operators should focus on improving and differentiating their customers’ experience in order to provide the best possible service.
