Meet iWedia at IBC 2026!
15/07/2026Lausanne, Switzerland – July 22nd, 2026 – iWedia, a global provider of software solutions for connected TV devices, today announces the launch of Teatro Factory, a new operator-facing software factory offering designed to help telecom and pay TV operators create, validate, deploy, operate, optimize, and evolve digital TV devices at scale.
Teatro Factory is built for the growing complexity of STB, smart TV, and Android TV environments. It brings together software delivery, automated validation, and DMS-powered fleet operations into one framework for end-to-end DTV device operations.
Telecom and pay TV operators are under increasing pressure to launch new features faster, reduce software delivery risk, maintain multiple device generations, and improve operational visibility across deployed fleets. At the same time, device ecosystems are becoming more fragmented, with different operating systems, hardware platforms, middleware layers, applications, and customer experience requirements needing to be managed simultaneously.
Teatro Factory addresses this challenge by helping operators move beyond traditional system integration toward a more predictable, automated, and continuously managed model for digital TV device operations.
The offering is structured around three integrated pillars:
- Teatro Cx provides the foundation for predictable software delivery. It supports advanced CI / CD practices, architecture, code and test automation, doc-as-code methods, dashboards, traceability, KPI visibility, and real-time project tracking. With Teatro Cx, operators and technology teams can move away from late-stage stabilization and subjective reporting toward measurable, transparent, and continuously monitored software delivery.
- Teatro Test Lab introduces a structured approach to automated testing and validation. It supports software-in-the-loop testing integrated into CI / CD pipelines, including Cuttlefish-based Android validation, as well as hardware-in-the-loop testing for physical device regression, performance, and stability validation. This enables earlier issue detection, faster validation cycles, and stronger release confidence before software reaches production environments.
- Teatro Pulse, iWedia’s device management solution, completes the operational layer of Teatro Factory. It enables rich telemetry, remote diagnostics, seamless OTA updates, remote application management, analytics, and extensive control over deployed operator devices. Together with advanced operational intelligence, Teatro Pulse allows operators to manage device fleets more proactively and reduce the complexity of support and maintenance.
Hans-Juergen Desor
iWedia Chief Executive Officer
“Teatro Factory represents the next phase of iWedia’s evolution: bringing software delivery, automated validation, and device operations together into a managed factory model for digital TV. After 15 years in this market, we believe the industry is moving beyond project-based execution toward continuous, intelligent device operations — and iWedia intends to lead that transition.”
The launch of Teatro Factory also marks an important milestone in iWedia’s 15-year journey in the digital TV market. Over the years, the company has supported global operators, pay TV providers, OEMs, and technology partners with software architecture, integration, product delivery, and long-term maintenance across connected TV and digital TV device ecosystems. Teatro Factory builds on that experience and translates it into a scalable offering for operators seeking stronger delivery predictability and more intelligent device operations.
For telecom and pay TV operators, Teatro Factory provides a unified framework for reducing execution risk, improving software quality, accelerating validation, and managing deployed devices with greater operational control. It is especially relevant for operators managing large STB and smart TV fleets, multiple device generations, Android-based platforms, and increasingly demanding customer experience expectations.
iWedia will present Teatro Factory at IBC 2026, where visitors will be able to learn how the offering supports end-to-end DTV device operations through CI / CD, automated testing, and DMS-powered fleet management.
